100 Book Challenge - March Update

The list for March. This brings my total to 22. At this point I should be at 25, but I'm not too worried. I know the summer months always give me more time for reading.

1. 39 Clues: The Sword Thief by Peter Lerangis
2. My Most Excellent Year by Steve Kluger
3. Gods Behaving Badly by Marie Philips
4. Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney
5. Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Rodrick Rules by Jeff Kinney
6. Diary of a Wimpy Kid, The Last Straw by Jeff Kinney
7. The Last Single Woman in America by Cindy Guirdy
8. The Boyfriend List by E. Lockhart

I read adult books for the first time this year (Gods and Last Single...). Gods Behaving Badly reminded me why I have been spending so much time with young adult books instead of adult ones. I did enjoy The Last Single Woman in America.

My favorite book this month was My Most Excellent Year. I mean, how could I not love a book whose subtitle is "A Novel of Love, Mary Poppins, and Fenway Park?" Simply put, it was indeed most excellent. It was told from the points of view of 3 different characters. It was told through a school essay/journal, emails, letters, texts, ims, etc. The whole book just made me happy reading it. It was set in Boston and that just made it even better. I highly recommend this book!

The other thing I learned this month is that E. Lockhart is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. She is the author of one of my absolute favorite books - The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks. I decided to pick up one of her others and I now have all her others on y Barnes and Noble wish list!

I leave Tuesday for Amsterdam and am hoping to cross off quite a few on the trip... we shall see. I'm bringing 5 with me, but I am taking a break from the YA and trying to catch up on some of my adult novels that have been patiently waiting for me.

Happy Reading :-)
